Snickers and the chain saw!!!

Yep. that's the topic today. My brother was out in the pasture with his chain saw. The guys needed wood for the garage. They tinker on cars and their big boy toys and mostly drink out there. Having dealt with others and substances abuse no one is allowed to drink in my house. With the exception of a small glass of wine or a hot tot tie when Dad is sick.
The guys have adjusted to this little quirk of mine. I guess I have plenty of them. Living alone for so long I think I am allowed to have a few quirks and rules.

While he was out in the pasture with the horses cutting wood. He sat the chain saw down to stack some prized wood for their fire. When he did so he did not shut the chain saw off. Snickers had been there watching every little thing and following him around and doing her usual sniffing and tasting every thing in site. When Don turned back around to get his chain saw..there was Snickers getting ready to either eat it or carry it off.

Amazing as it may seem Snickers is not the first horse that has done this. Jenny's horse Cassie actually did carry off her husbands chain saw the first year they had her. It just seems funny Snickers has NO FEAR!! I mean no fear of any thing. She can be stubborn. Snickers is going to be another awesome trail horse. My brother has learned his horse lesson for the week. Don picked up about 10 trash cans of corn this week. That will help on feed this winter and corn keeps them warm.

Next year I will be taking her along on a pony line when I ride near the trains and the industrial areas with the semis. I will take her for walks to get her used to things. I wouldn't want to just take her out as old as she is and expect her to be a perfect horse. It will take work and time. I will get it accomplished. I love training the foals.
