What a week!!

Monday I was called into work. One of the other dispatchers was sick and I needed to cover her shift. Well needless to say I was not able to get enough sleep.

Then Tuesday AM. Jenny called and had hit a deer on the way to work. Thankfully she was in the big truck and she did not get hurt. Other than her pride. As she would have much rather shot it to help put food on the table. She is a hunter like I used to be. That would be way back when I was married. A life time ago.

Tuesday afternoon Linda's mom called my mom trying to get hold of Linda and asked if I could fine her. That was no problem as she was at work and just a few blocks from where I live. Well in St Joe you could say almost every one is just a few blocks away. I did find her and got her the message to phone home. In fact I stayed as I knew what the call was about. You see Linda works at one of those high security places with no way to phone into the building. Their security would not let her leave unless I was going to drive her to the hospital. Her brother was in ICU and not expected to make it through the night. So Off we went.
While I was there I ran into Amber. Her grandmother had surgery on Monday and was not doing so good and was still in ICU too. She was going to camp out in the hospital. Amber's grandmother lives with her. Amber has been taking care of her. Now I don't know to many kids that would take care of their parents let alone a grand childs that would even think of doing it. Amber is a good kid and her mom should be proud of her.
I was fortunate to meet her auntie who works with my ex sister in law and runs afound with her daughter Nicole..Such a small world.

I pray both of my friends family members are better and out of the hospital ASAP.

Mom had her eye surgery on Monday is able to see a little better. Dt's think the diabeties is causing her problems.

Wednesday I took some cupcakes out to the hospital ICU for my extened families.
In the after noon Keith's brother came over and my brother Don came over and we cleaned up the pasture and burned. The pasture had no been cleaned up since the alst ice storm 3 years ago and really needed it. I had limbs hanging just waiting to fall on horses. So I am so excited to see it cleaned up. My brother just through ropes over the fallen and attached limbs and pulled them down with his van. Hugh and Keith cut them up and burned them leaving the big stuff to cut up into fire wood.

It sure would be nice if it stayed in the 60's the rest of the year. I think it will turn cold here too soon.
This week end I have to work 2 12 hour days. so I doubt I will get to much done except sleep. I have found that being sick and having to work OT just kills me off. Bosses don't seem to care. So I will be here as always.
Hope you all have a good week end.
