The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
It is so nice to be able to wish you all a Happy and prosperous 2010 New Year.
We hope the economy improves this year and those with out income will find something to make ends meet. We pray for the ill. We pray for all the children who are without the love and sancutaury of a good family. The animals with out a warm home or bed.
As always a new year helps us look back at the one leaving with all the trials we have enfured.
Last year went by fast. I was able to do more riding thanks to a couple of my good friends. I hope I am blessed with their compainonship this year. Maybe I will be able to make a few new friends as well. I was able to make a few changes in invsetments that should help me financially in the years to come.
I have lost several friends and with in the last week a cousin. He had taken the family and a group of young girls sking came home in the blizzard and had a heart attack. My love goes out to his family for their loss.
I was able to work less over time than in the past five years. That can only help me with my illness.
My parents are still kicking but at least it is each other. I hope they might be a little more healthy in 2010. Their dreams come true.
My brother is helps with the snow removal and is still listening to Hotel California.
My son is doing as well as can be expected with the economy the way it is.
Still have not heard from my daughter. She will have a birthday this January. She has two girls of her own.
The men in my life are coping. I am trying to cope with out one. He was one of the first ones to wish me a Happy New Year. He went to church to see the New Year in. I am so glad to hear it. So sounds like this year he may not be taking his leave in the winter. He like the rest of us still has much to learn and lots of growing to do.
My dogs Joey (boxer) she follows me around the house when ever she can get away with it.
Teddy (poodle) he just likes to curl up in front of the fire especially in my chair.
Missy (sheltie)well what can I say she is a sheltie and still young I suppose one of these days she will grow up. Mostly I am thankful they ask to go out to take care of their business. Joey will flop her ears by twisting that big head back and forth. Teddy jumps up and down on you until you get the idea and well Missy she will bark. She does not care if it is 3AM when she wnats out she will bark. I think she just uses it as an excuse to bark in the house. They are all well mannared dogs and they listen to their sign language more than verbal communication. It is something to have all the different breeds and even my moms dog respond to my hand signals. So cute to see them all lined up and at attention or just sitting when I ask. Love my dogs they are family and will show me love and listen to what I might have to say.
My cats are staying warm and even use the dog door to come in and sleep while the dogs are off the porch.
The horses are staying close in the cold and will run with you when you pull in the drive. I am not sure they have enough hair to keep them warm. They can all get in the barn if they need to and we keep their water warm. Warm water seems to keep them from colic in the winter.
I was able to make a few new purchases a new bed a new tractor a small kubota.I puschased lots of fence and we even got it up. I have all most got my credit card paid off.
So there is how I stand coming into 2010. I try not to make resolutions. Just live for the moment and help all that needs a shoulder or kind word. Now it is time to surge forward to 2010. Hope your days are filled with sun and may the wind be at your back.
